　　我是带上我们家9岁的双胞胎去看的，他们至始至终都被剧情深深吸引。电影开场有一段小小的前言，没有对白的剧情，我以为他们俩会无聊，结果他们也都很喜欢这段剧中剧。

　　Itook the nine-year-old twins with me and they were absorbed the entiretime. There is a short sequence at the beginning that is a quietprologue where I thought they might be bored but they liked thelittle story within a story。

Theelderly man at the center of the movie is a recent widower andwe feel his grief at his wife’s death. 　　我很喜欢，不过跟小孩子喜欢的理由不一样。我超爱俩男主角，老头儿和小罗；而我们家的双胞胎则更偏爱那只会说话的狗狗。

　　Iloved it, though not for the same reason as the kids. I loved itbecause it made me feel deeply for all the characters, especially Mr.Frederickson and Russell, the young boy who joins him on the adventure.The twins loved it most of all for the talking dogs。

　　There’sone scary part. The boy’s new friend, Kevin the bird, iscaptured by the bad guy, and then the house is nearly burned down. Avery dark moment in the movie and my daughter kept asking if the birdwould be okay。
